SCOTTISH ANCESTORS

Many Scottish records are available, some as digitised images of original records, on the ScotlandsPeople website. These include records of births, marriages and deaths; the census; Church of Scotland parish registers; some Catholic parish registers; and wills and testaments. Work on adding more records is ongoing.

For Scottish divorce records before 1984 contact The National Archives of Scotland. For divorce records from 1984 to the present contact the General Register Office for Scotland.

The Scottish Archive Network has digitised a selection of historical documents and contains a catalogue of records in a variety of Scottish archives.
